Tree Mapping

 Back a few years ago, we worked with some summer students to map all the trees along the streets of Perth, including all kinds of information such as species, diameter, health, conflicts with utilities etc. Working with a local company, CGIS, we then had that information all geo-coded to make it available in map  format. 

You can see the results through the Live Map feature on the Town of Perth's website www.town.perth.on.ca/siteengine/ActivePage.asp, although it will involve downloading the MapviewerGuide program. Unfortunately for us mac users, that program does not run on macs. Oh well...
